The Kim recliner chair has a very stylish slim design, that you wouldn’t guess could also recline. It’s based on the Lenny chair with stunning curved arms and winged backrest but differs with a circular base and a slightly more substantial design to accommodate the recliner mechanism. You can swivel nearly 180 degrees to face different aspects of your room. Available in both fabric or leather you can bespoke design it with your choice of up to 3 fama fabrics (seat cushion, back cushion and frame) from their huge range of over 500 options.

Price & Availability
With an RRP of £1355 (at the time of writing) it offers great value for a fabric, electric recliner chair. There are over 500 fabrics to choose from, all of which are in the same price bracket and you can use multiple fabrics, one for the seat, another for the back cushion and a third for the frame, at no extra cost. If you don’t want fabric you can also have the Kim leather made in one of Fama’s hundreds of leathers for an extra fee.

Kim Recliner
Design
A clever combination of curves that create one of the most unique and stylish recliner designs. The seat and footrest are one piece with no gaps, disguising the additional recliner. A nice high back gives visual appeal and good head and neck support. It’s curved arms and headrest style means it compliments nicely with many sofas.
Sustainability and the environment
Fama take their environmental responsibilities very seriously, using woods from sustainable forests, recycling 98% of their waste and refining their manufacturing and delivery processes to eliminate wastage.
Comfort
The Kim is a very comfortable chair, the seat foam is a medium density with plenty of give, not super squashy and not rock hard, with a softer back cushion. The high headrest has two wings at the top, either side of your head to give you a real sense of your own personal, relaxing space and gives great comfort for the head and neck. The narrow frame is a really nice size, with a lovely seat width allowing a snug seat but with comfortable armrest positions.
The recliner has come a long way from the original manual Kim. The new touch sensitive, electric system allows you to stop the reclining motion at any point from your upright seating position to practically horizontal, meaning you can find the perfect position for your posture.

Maintenance
The Kim is a very low maintenance piece of furniture, although the manufacturers will recommend daily dressing and plumping of the cushions, we’ve found that it retains it’s shape very well. The back cushions are zipped to the frame and can be removed occasionally if it needs a good plump up and the seat cushion is attached by velcro, so can again be removed and the fabric straightened out by hand.

Fama have a lot of confidence in the structure of their furniture and offer a lifetime guarantee on the frames of all their sofas and chairs and 10 years on the suspension.
